Seated stoneware Orangutan

My first Orangutan. Fairly large at approximately 50cms wide. Slab-built in stoneware clay and finished in an iron rich satin glaze, plus iron oxides. Since this photograph was taken the piece has been mounted on a custom made, black lacquered wooden base. SOLD.
